Elizabeth Dahl is Chief Operating Officer and Director of Business Development at Aquamarine Investment Partners. With extensive experience in commercial real estate, infrastructure, and energy, Ms. Dahl leads the financial analysis and diligence of investments, manages company operations, and supports company investor relations. She is a member of Columbia University’s Center on Global Energy Policy, and a contributor to the Center’s Women in Energy Program.

Ms. Dahl managed the diligence, review, and investor cultivation in a several billion dollar, greenfield industrial facility including a carbon capture and sequestration component. She negotiated contracts, reviewed agreements, and collaborated with legal and advisory teams on structure. Further to that, she liaised with investors on review and diligence of the financial model including commodity sensitivity analysis.

In 2016, Ms. Dahl led efforts to close an investment in a trophy office building in Manhattan located on Park Avenue. Ms. Dahl led the process to consummate a $200 million U.S. Real Estate joint venture with a multi-million dollar publicly held overseas corporation. Ms. Dahl oversaw the acquisition of a $166 million national student housing portfolio with over 3,000 units including site visits, financial diligence, project level negotiations, asset management, and arranging the financing with federal loan providers. Ms. Dahl helped structure a $25 million energy refurbishment project to convert coal power to clean energy with investment grade counter-parties.

As the second employee of Aquamarine Investment Partners, she spearheaded efforts to set up company infrastructure including banking relationships, fund administration, compliance, and legal infrastructure. Ms. Dahl managed efforts in the fundraise and close of the North American Real Asset Fund I, a US $1 Billion fund with first close in December 2015 of US $250 million. The fund targets inbound U.S. real assets for foreign investors with partially hedged characteristics for a stable cash on cash return.

Prior to her time at Aquamarine Investment Partners, Ms. Dahl spent three years on the corporate side at Brooklyn Industries, a global brand where she managed a finance team.

Ms. Dahl graduated Cum Laude from New York University with a Bachelors degree in Economics and Business. The Colorado native is based in New York, and has spent time living in San Diego, Saudi Arabia, and Prague.
