GREEN HYDROGEN and GREEN AMMONIA
Water + renewable power = green hydrogen, a carbon free fuel and chemical building block. Green hydrogen + air = green ammonia, a carbon free fuel and fertilizer that will decarbonize transportation, serve as a chemical battery to store renewable power and support carbon neutral farming.
HydrGEN is developing the world’s first commercial scale green hydrogen to green ammonia production facility utilizing high efficiency Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cells (SOEC) to be built in northern Germany in partnership with Haldor Topsøe.
With a diverse array of applications as both a fuel and a fertilizer, green ammonia has the potential to massively decrease global carbon emissions. Easier to transport and store than pure hydrogen, ammonia will be a key green transportation fuel and chemical battery for renewable power. For these reasons, HydrGEN has selected green ammonia to be the company’s first product utilizing innovative high-efficiency solid oxide electrolysers developed by our technology partner Haldor Topsøe.
HydrGEN will grow into a global company with multiple products including pure green hydrogen and green ammonia, methanol, jet fuel, diesel and and other green products using hydrogen produced from the electrolysis of water by renewable power with zero carbon emissions end–to-end.
